Felicity Levine, director of DEUTmedia is an experienced writer, trainer and media consultant who develops and delivers workshops on communication skills for creative, professional and academic sectors. She did extensive research into the use of English as a Second Language at Jesuit college, Leone X111 in Milan where she lived in the 80’s, at the same time working as a freelance journalist and reporting on the South African political situation. In 1990 she returned to Johannesburg and worked on the Sunday Times news desk as a reporter for two years, then as a freelance feature writer. |

She worked as a research editor on the Wits Graduate School of Public
and Development Management (P&DM) Masters Programme from 1998 to
1999 and lectured in public relations and journalism for the Boston
Educational Group until 2001. Her awareness of the significance of development reporting has been heightened by her interaction with sectors tasked with service delivery. With this came the commitment to facilitate interaction between journalists and communicators and transfer writing techniques that would promote social development. Clients she has worked with include: the SA Police Service; SA Foreign Affairs diplomats; Government Communication & Information Services (GCIS); the Mpumalanga Provincial Government; the Botswana Government; Spoornet; The Development Bank of Southern Africa; Investec; AngloGold; Old Mutual Foundation; NAMAC Trust; NUM; NUMSA and many others from both public and private sectors and civil society organisations countrywide. She is an accredited assessor with the MAPPP seta.
